Publishing Ethical Guidelines for JCU Authors

Journal of Chongqing University (JCU) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, which requires all authors to adhere to publishing ethics. All submitted papers confirmed as having unethical issues are unacceptable, and we reserve the right to withdraw the acceptance and publication of such papers.

Forms of ethical issues
Plagiarism
Authors are required to submit only their original papers. In case material of others, or the authors’ previously published work is used, it must be clearly and appropriately cited and quoted. Plagiarism of ideas is also unacceptable.
Multiple paper submissions
Submission of a paper to JCU means that the paper or any part of it has not been published or under the consideration of being published elsewhere. We don’t accept republication of conference papers with little added value, or dissertations.
Source acknowledgement
Authors should properly acknowledge the work of others that has influenced the content of the paper, which may include, beside referenced publications, financial support from an organization and/or other help with the research and its documentation.
Author listing
Authors should be listed based on only their contribution to the papers. The first author and/or the correspondence author of a paper should guarantee that all the co-authors agree to be listed as co-authors, and agree also on the content of the paper.

Adoption of AMLC
AMLC(Academic Misconduct Literature Check) is an anti-plagiarism software application developed by China National Knowledge Infrastructure(known as CNKI) to compare the content of a written piece with published material. All papers submitted to JCU are subject to AMLC check at least twice to make sure that papers going into the peer review and production processes are free of an unduly high level of duplication.
